The South African Branch of the Mohammed VI Foundation of the African Oulema organized, on Saturday, a food aid distribution operation for the benefit of more than 300 families in need, in Winterveld, located 40 km north-west of the capital Pretoria. This initiative is part of the support provided by the Foundation's Branch to bring assistance and relief to individuals and families in vulnerable situations and to mitigate the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic.
This initiative imbued with solidarity was widely welcomed by the communities in the region, who saw it as a gesture symbolizing the noble values of sharing, fraternity and coexistence in this holy month of Ramadan.
During this operation , the South African branch of the Mohammed VI Foundation of the African Oulema adopted social distancing to ensure the security of the population.
The members of the Branch expressed their gratitude to HM King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, for this initiative, which has a strong humanitarian overtone and whose salutary impact is reinforced in the current unprecedented context imposed by the Coronavirus pandemic.
The ceremony was marked by the presence of representatives of the Moroccan Embassy in South Africa.
