The Government of Malawi expressed, on Wednesday, the 17th of June 2020, through its Minister of Energy Atupele Muluzi, its gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI for the initiative taken by the Sovereign in order to support several brotherly African countries, including Malawi, in their efforts to combat the Coronavirus.
The Royal Initiative comes at a time when the Covid-19 pandemic has become a global and African problem that requires active pan-African solidarity, Muluzi said during the receiving ceremony of the Moroccan aid.
"Morocco's aid to Malawi is a further proof of the excellent cooperation relations that exist between the two countries," said the Minister, stressing that the Royal Initiative "will undoubtedly help to further cement the relations between both countries".
The long-standing friendly relations between Morocco and Malawi will continue to develop and strengthen in the future, thanks to His Majesty the King's Initiative, said Muluzi.
"On this occasion, I would like to wish, on behalf of President Peter Mutharika and the people of Malawi, a speedy recovery to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God grant Him long life," said the Minister of Energy of Malawi.
