The Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Souss Massa and the Cape Chamber of Commerce and Industry have signed today, during a virtual working meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of a sectoral cooperation between both Parties.
Acknowledging the substantial potential for developing and increasing mutual economic cooperation between Morocco and South Africa, this MoU aims to establish a framework for partnership in areas of common interest such as industry, investment, trade and services. It also puts particular accent on the economic development of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
In his remarks, the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Service of Souss Massa, Mr. Karim Achengli, shed light on the economic potential, in terms of future cooperation that Morocco and South Africa enjoy as two African countries able to contribute to the continental development.
For his part, Mr. Brahim Hafidi, President of the same Region, emphasized the economic performance of the Souss Massa Region and the economic attractiveness of Morocco which encourages, through various sectoral strategies, investors to come invest in the Kingdom more and more.
Concerning the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Cape Region, Mr. Jacques Moolman expressed the wish and the will of his organization to establish a fruitful partnership with Morocco and to develop a future sectoral cooperation with the Souss Massa region.
During the same meeting, an institutional video was projected highlighting the wealth and economic potentials of the Souss Massa Region. A presentation was also given on the sectoral strengths of the Cape Region.
The Moroccan Delegation was led during this virtual event by Mr. Karim Achengli, President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Service of the Souss Massa Region, and Mr. Brahim Hafidi, President of the same Region. Took part in this meeting from the South African side, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Cape Region, Mr. Jacques MOOLMAN, and the Chairman of the Committee for International Trade and Tourism, Mr. Eric Leong Son, as well as other executive directors and members of the Board of Directors.
