As part of its international expansion strategy and in particular its ambition to be a regional and continental leader, the Société Centrale de Réassurance (SCR), a subsidiary of the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG) continues its influence within the African continent and strengthens its presence by opening a representative office in Southern Africa.

The fourth representative office in Africa after Rwanda, Côte d’Ivoire and Egypt, this new SCR office will be based in Johannesburg as a Hub for the Southern Africa zone and will be headed by Stephan Lewin.

With this new representative office, the SCR is strengthening its positioning in Southern Africa in order to be able to support and serve the needs of this region characterized by a dynamic economy, in full expansion.

Established as a lever for growth and improvement of profitability within the framework of the 2021-2023 strategic plan, “We Transform Tomorrow Together (We 3T)” validated by the Board of Directors of the SCR, the international development of the SCR contributes to strengthen its status as the leading regional reinsurer in Africa and the Middle East and a long-standing partner of the insurance sector within the continent.

Thus, the African anchoring of the SCR, its proven knowledge of the market, its good ratings, its expertise and the partnerships forged are all assets to accelerate the continental development of the leading reinsurer in the Kingdom of Morocco.
